Hack Soccer - Volume 24 Issue 8

By Will Yu

Of all the sports teams out there this fall, none can compare in skill, raw talent, or good looks to the 2006 Milton Academy Hack Soccer Team. This group of unbelievably gifted individuals has come together as one to tear up the soccer pitch and threaten the Junior Varsity soccer team. Seven players are all this team needs, as they dodge their way to definite victory in each and every competition they partake in. With the all-star line up of Tom “not so sick at ping pong” Shaw (Class II), Chris “my toe is bleeding” Cote (Class III), Jess “rain soccer” Seaver (Class II), Mike “will do anything to win even table top” Bartley (Class III), Avindra “knockout punch” Goolcharan (III), Alex “lightning” Tin (Class II), and Sam “karinster” Ratner (Class II), it is not surprising that Hack Soccer dominates whoever is willing to play them. Though the team’s frequent water breaks would appear to be a sign of weakness and could suggest a lack of conditioning, for this squad of seemingly super soccer men and women, these moments for hydration only fuel them to live up to their great genetic potential. The beautiful crosses, goals, goal kicks, headers, saves, sweeps, turns, boots, punts, and passes can be seen in a foray of legs and arms alike. With each member of the team constantly showing his or her capability, it would be a shame to miss any of this outstanding crew’s outings. Whenever possible, be sure to take in the sights of this team, for you never know when you’ll be surprised next.
